The Pirates are a team that consistently find themselves within the playoff discussions in the NL Central. The Pirates are a few moves away from a competitive team. In the Gerrit Cole trade, they landed Joe Musgrove, who is a solid arm with a promising future. Taillon has been the one starting while Glasnow has been a bullpen arm. The Pirates staff has two younger arms with Jameson Taillon and Tyler Glasnow. Josh Bell has come around a bit, but is starting to look a little lackluster from his earlier projections. The Pirates also have two quality catching options in Francisco Cervelli and Elias Diaz. There is a lot of depth on this Pirates team, and Corey Dickerson, Starling Marte, Gregory Polanco, and Jose Osuna are just more names to add in the outfield. Their outfield is crowded, and with Austin Meadows making it tough to play anyone over him. The Pirates have moved on from Andrew McCutchen, and have some solid pieces to help fill that void.
